Our Audiologist & Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser, Kim Spargo, started her career in Audiology over 22 years ago after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology in 2002 at Cardiff University. She then used her degree to pursue her desire to work for the NHS and trained further to become a qualified Audiologist for ABMU Health Board. Kim qualified as a clinical Audiologist in 2003 and continued into a senior role to become a mentor for BSc Audiology students.

After a long and fulfilling 12 years working for the NHS, Kim’s passion for Audiology and further learning led her to a new role working for a private sector business where she continued her learning and development of current hearing device technology. On passing further exams at Aston University, Kim then registered with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (RHAD).

In 2014 Kim trained at University College London to be able to perform micro suction ear wax removal and has since set up ear wax removal clinics throughout South Wales for a local business and for a National company.

In 2017 Kim was nominated by two of her clients for ‘Audiologist of the Year 2017’ award where she received a certificate of commendation for her services.

With this vast amount of experience working for the NHS and the private sector, Kim decided it was time to start up her own hearing healthcare business to be able to provide a service to clients in her local area.

In 2021, Kim also employed and mentored Richard Smith, who is our Practice Manager and qualified Ear Care Specialist. Richard completed his Hearing Care Assistant qualification at Starkey UK in Stockport, and also completed his Clinical Ear Care course at The Audiology Academy in Wombourne, where he was awarded his certificate of competency to safely and effectively carry out ear wax removal using irrigation and micro suction.

We provide bespoke hearing aids and a service which caters for an individual’s needs and lifestyle by offering a vast range of hearing aid styles and technology levels. Our aim is to provide a highly qualified and professional service with outstanding aftercare.
